Integrated Disaster Risk Management (IDRM): Elements to Advance Its Study and Assessment

Abstract This study analyzed the international key literature on integrated disaster risk management (IDRM), considering it a dynamic sociocultural process subjected to historical of social formation, offering closer look at concept while exploring conceptual elements and ideas advance IDRM in both national contexts. Methodologically, adopted review strategy, following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) approach, combined with qualitative content analysis. article examines history IDRM, discusses current challenges implementation, looks some experiences, proposes avenues further research.
